This page describes the ways in which this website is managed, with regard to the treatment of users’ personal data.
The present guidelines were drafted in concordance with art. 13 of legislative decree no. 196/2003 - Code for protection of personal data of users of online services, accessible through data transfer stemming from the address of the website’s homepage "http://www.olitasdelmar.com".
These guidelines were drafted with reference to this specific site and do not apply to other websites which users may visit via links.
The guidelines are also based on Recommendation no. 2/2001, adopted by European authorities for the protection of personal data designated by art. 29 of directive no. 95/46/CE, on the 17th of May 2001, to define a set of minimum standards regarding the collection of personal data online and, in particular, the format, timing and nature of the information with which those agents collecting the information must provide users when the latter connect to their web pages, independently of the aims of said connections.
The Recommendation and a summarised description of its content are provided in other pages belonging to this site.
THE “AGENT” OF DATA PROCESSING
Following connection to this website, some data regarding identified or identifiable persons may be processed.
The “agent” of said processing is Seminara Maria Provvidenza, located in Palermo (Italy), Via Parlamento n.41.
LOCATION OF DATA PROCESSING
The processing of data deriving from the services offered by this website takes place at the aforementioned head office and is the responsibility of those of the office’s technical staff in charge of data processing only, other than the occasional intervention of staff carrying out maintenance operations.
No data deriving from the web service is passed on or publicised.
Personal data provided by users requesting the sending of information (reports, CD-ROMs, newsletters, annual reports, responses to queries, documents, provisions etc.) are used exclusively with a view to realising the requested service or provision and are only communicated to third parties when this is necessary for the completion of said aims.
TYPE OF DATA PROCESSED
1) Navigation data
The IT systems and software providing for this website’s functioning collect some personal data through their normal processes, whose transfer is required to ensure adherence to Internet communication protocols.
These data are not collected so as to be associated with identified individuals, but their very nature implies that they could allow third parties to identify users by developing and associating said data with information collected by them.
This data category includes the IP addresses or domain names of users’ computers connecting to the site, addresses using URI notation (Uniform Resource Identifier) of requested resources, the time of requests, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of files received by way of response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (completed, error, etc.) and other parameters concerning the user’s operating system or computer equipment.
These data are used with the sole aim of collecting anonymous statistical information on site usage and to ensure its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after their processing. The data could be used to identify those responsible should cases of computer crime arise to the detriment of the site: beside this eventuality, data regarding web-based contacts do not remain on the site for more than seven days.
2) Data voluntarily supplied by users
The explicitly opt-in and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses given on the site leads to the collection if the sender’s address, which is required to respond to requests, in addition to any other personal data included in the message.
Specific summarised guidelines are progressively quoted or displayed on the site pages devoted to requesting particular services.
None of users’ personal data are intentionally recorded by the site.
Cookies are not used to transfer personal information, nor are any kind of persistent c.d. cookies or user tracing systems employed.
The use of session c.d. cookies (which are not saved in any lasting manner on users’ computers and are deleted when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transfer of session identifiers (comprised of random numbers generated by the server), which are necessary for safe and efficient site navigation.
Session c.d. cookies used by this site do not make use of other, potentially harmful, techniques computing data processing, so as to protect users’ navigation privacy, and do not allow the collection of any personal data allowing users to be identified.
FORMS OF DATA PROCESSING
Personal data are processed using automated tools, respecting the minimum time necessary to achieve the aims for which they are collected.
Specific safety measures are observed to prevent data loss, illicit or wrongful use and unauthorised access.
Those individuals concerned by the personal data at hand are at liberty to request confirmation of the existence or non-existence of said data at any time, details of their content and origin, to verify their accuracy or request the integration, correction or update of certain details (art. 7 of legislative decree no. 196/2003).
According to the terms of said article, users have the right to request the deletion or anonymous modification of data whose processing has infringed legislation or to block access to said data, or to proffer legitimate grounds objecting to their processing under all circumstances.
These privacy guidelines can be accessed using the most recent browsers, which integrate the P3P standard (“Platform for Privacy Preferences Project”) put forward by the World Wide Web Consortium (www.w3c.org).
We will make every effort to make the site’s functions as compatible as possible with automatic privacy checkers available with certain products employed by users.
